- Concrete CMS
The challenge.
The Foundation's trilingual Concrete CMS website, in English, French and Portuguese, tells the story of its projects across Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. It runs on the Foundation's own hosting, and pages had become slow to load.
The team also could not save changes in the website's dashboard, the Media menu led to a dead page and project photography had stopped appearing. They needed someone to find the root causes and fix them without disrupting the live site.
The result.
Root causes found and fixed
We traced the slowness to a configuration error that forced pages to be rebuilt on every visit and blocked the dashboard from saving settings. Correcting it brought caching back and made the site markedly faster, and the team can manage their settings again.
We repaired the Media menu so it opens its News and Reports dropdown, restored the images on the projects page and kept the Foundation's staging site in step, so future changes can be tested before they go live. A short, plain-English report set out the next steps for keeping the site fast, secure and reliable.
